ROTATING EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN (Mechanical Technician)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or graduate of vocational course in mechanical field, Higher National Certificates (HNCs) and Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) equivalent.
• At least 5 years work experience in mechanical fitting.
• Proficient with hand and measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
• Experience working with and assisting with QA / QC inspection teams.
• Involves mainly WORKSHOP-BASED overhauling, inspection & repair works with some occasional site visits.
• Experience on all or any of the following: Siemens light industrial gas turbines such as Ruston TA & TB models, SGT 100, 200, 300, and 400 models, Rolls Royce Avon 1533, 1534, 1535 and Avon 200, Allison 501, Solar Centaur, Taurus and Mars100 Models GE LM 2500 and LM 6000 models.
• Other rotating equipment for pumps and compressors as well as GE heavy industrial frame turbines would be seen as an added advantage.
• Driving License / Forklift License is an advantage.
• Machinist Skill (Drilling, Turning, and Welding) is an advantage.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
