Production Technician

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of BS Engineering courses – Electrical / Mechanical
• Willing to take IELTS
• With 3 years background experience of electrical engineering and experience of high-speed food processing and packing equipment / FMCG environment
• Ability to identify prices and equipment problems at an early stage
• An advanced qualification in electrical engineering
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Good IT Skills excel, word and PowerPoint
• Effective time management skills
• Organisational ability, admin skills, and understanding of HACCP
• Food hygiene training to level 2

Responsibilities:

• Assist planning and production processes.
• Ensure machinery and lines have been correctly set up.
• Ensure raw material and associated packaging has been correctly selected.
• Ensure equipment & processes are fully validated, as required, take actions to close any performance gaps and quality check parameters.
• Ensure weigh-head settings are correct and properly calibrated.
• Ensure completion of initial metal detection checks and checkweigher are calibrated properly.
• Test lines prior to use and address any technical faults identified – liaise with Multi Skilled Engineers if the problem persists.
• Document and monitor line performance carrying out any equipment or product tests required to validate the process.
• Attend to any technical faults during operation.
• Ensure regular quality checks and inspections are being undertaken.
• Ensure line speed is maintained to ensure production targets are achieved and quality parameters are met.
• Complete regular test checks to ensure equipment is working properly.
• Record and communicate to management any risks, hazards, incidences, or events effecting product quality.
• Ensure lines are shutdown properly and associated production documentation is completed and entered into the recording system correctly.
• Ensure faults are reported to the relevant authority and engineering team.
• Ensure line clean down is undertaken properly and performed to required procedures.
• Ensure lines are set and ready for the next run.
• Conduct final line sign-off ready for handover.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
