Pipe Fitter
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years work experience
- Proven experience as a pipe fitter in an ASME certified facility
- With a strong understanding of pipe fitting techniques & practices.
- Knowledgeable in aligning pipes and preparing joints for welding, including cutting, grinding, and beveling techniques.
- Familiarity with ASME standards for S, U, and R stamps, demonstrating a commitment to quality and safety in all aspects of pipe fitting work.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as pipe bending and threading equip
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications for plumbing and pipe fitting projects.
Responsibilities
- Support welding operations by aligning pipes and boiler tubes in preparation for welding, ensuring optimal fit-up and alignment.
- Prepare pipe joints for welding by performing tasks such as cutting, grinding, and beveling pipe edges to ensure a proper and efficient welding process.
- Test pipe systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges to ensure the integrity and safety of the system.
- Collaborate with welders, offering technical support during the welding process to ensure high- quality welds and adherence to project
