Preservation Lead

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields is typically required. Specializations in disciplines relevant to preservation, corrosion control, or asset management can provide foundational knowledge and expertise.
• Extensive experience in preservation, corrosion control, asset management, logistics, or related roles within industries such as oil and gas, energy, maritime, construction, or manufacturing. Experience in developing and implementing preservation strategies, procedures, and practices is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of preservation principles, methodologies, tools, and techniques. Familiarity with preservation materials, coatings, inhibitors, storage conditions, environmental factors, and industry standards relevant to the specific industry or sector.

Skills and Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge and expertise in preservation processes, techniques, materials, coatings, inhibitors, and equipment. Ability to develop, implement, and oversee preservation strategies, procedures, and practices to ensure the integrity, quality, and longevity of preserved items.
• Strong leadership abilities, team management skills, and interpersonal skills to lead, guide, mentor, and develop preservation teams, fostering collaboration, communication, and alignment towards preservation objectives and organizational goals.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to assess preservation requirements, analyze preservation challenges, identify risks, and implement effective solutions to address preservation needs and mitigate deterioration risks.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey preservation-related information clearly, facilitate discussions, document activities, and build relationships with stakeholders, including colleagues, contractors, vendors, and management.
• A strong commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in preservation practices, processes, and technologies. Ability to drive change, foster a culture of preservation, and champion preservation initiatives, best practices, and excellence across the organization.
