Telecommunication Assistant

Qualifications:

• Male applicants
• Minimum of 2 years work experience
• Post-secondary education or relevant certifications in telecommunications or information technology.
• A solid understanding of telecommunication systems, including voice and data networks, cabling infrastructure, and related technologies, is essential.
• Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA, can enhance job prospects and demonstrate technical proficiency.
• Proficiency in computer operating systems, network protocols, and troubleshooting tools is valuable for diagnosing and resolving telecommunication issues.
• Telecommunication assistants must pay close attention to detail when installing, configuring, and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• The ability to identify and solve telecommunication-related issues and address technical challenges is crucial.
• May involve climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and working in various physical environments, so being in good physical condition is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Telecommunication Infrastructure: Assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of
  telecommunication systems, including data cabling and network equipment.
• Cabling: Installing, testing, and managing cabling infrastructure for data and voice communication, ensuring proper organization and labeling.
• Telecommunication Equipment Maintenance: Conducting routine maintenance and upgrades of
  telecommunication systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of telecommunication equipment, configurations, and installations, including diagrams and inventory lists.
• Emergency Response: Assisting in the resolution of telecommunication-related emergencies or outages, which may involve working outside regular business hours.
• Telecommunication Trends: Staying updated on the latest telecommunication technologies and trends to provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades
