Foreman (Carpentry & Assembly)

Qualifications:

• Must have hands-on experience in the woodworks, joinery, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out industry.
• Proven experience supervising carpentry and assembly teams in a workshop or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, furniture assembly, and finishing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, technical drawings, and production specifications.
• Familiarity with woodworking machinery, hand tools, and assembly equipment.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of quality control procedures and production standards.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and safe work practices.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet production deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily carpentry, joinery, and assembly activities within the workshop and production areas.
• Lead and monitor carpenters, assemblers, and production workers to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
• Ensure all products are manufactured and assembled according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure production targets and project deadlines are achieved.
• Inspect work-in-progress and finished products to verify quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
• Coordinate with workshop supervisors, production managers, and other departments regarding project requirements and schedules.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safe operation of woodworking machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Identify and resolve production issues, material shortages, and assembly challenges promptly.
• Train and guide team members on proper carpentry techniques, assembly methods, and safety procedures.
• Monitor material usage and minimize waste during production and assembly processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety policies.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate production updates to management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
