Magenta Holding Limited is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the company’s financial records, reporting, budgeting, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate accounting processes, timely financial reporting, cash flow management, cost control, and overall financial efficiency for the business.
ACCOUNTANT (Retail, Wholesale & Merchandising)
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting systems.
- Proficiency in MYOB, POS systems, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Honest, reliable, detail-oriented, and professional.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into the nominated accounting software.
- Reconcile accounting data before presentation to management.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports to Shareholders/Directors within 21 days after month-end.
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and VNPF contributions.
- Prepare annual company budgets and financial forecasts.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports and projections.
- Implement cost-control measures and support profitability improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with revenue and cost centers to monitor and control expenses.
- Ensure compliance with company internal accounting procedures and policies.
- Support modernization and improvement of accounting systems and processes.
- Supervise payroll processing and accounts staff.
- Advise management on best financial practices and compliance matters.
- Perform any other finance or accounting-related duties as assigned.
- Timely updating and maintenance of accounting records.
- Accuracy of financial data entry and reporting.
- Timely preparation and submission of financial reports.
- Effective management of debtors and creditors.
- Cost reduction and expense management improvements.
- Profitability improvement and financial efficiency.
- Timely completion of month-end accounting processes.
- Teamwork, leadership, and staff management performance.
- Professionalism, initiative, reliability, and compliance with company procedures.
