Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) Operator

Qualifications:

• High school graduate, technical vocational graduate
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong logical insight and stand out because of your learning ability, you pick upthings quickly and are capable of evolving towards a supervisor role in due course.
• Good knowledge of English. You are able to communicate with colleagues, Basic computer skills and administrative accuracy.
• Flexible attitude towards tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and control SPMT equipment to safely transport oversized and heavy loads in shipyards, construction sites, ports, and industrial facilities. Work closely with heavy-lift supervisors, engineers, and rigging teams to execute complex transport operations.
• Operate SPMT units and modular axle lines to move heavy structures.
• Control steering, hydraulic lifting, and load balancing systems.
• Drive and position transporters according to engineered transport plans.
• Assist in loading, lifting, and positioning heavy cargo.
• Maintain proper weight distribution and stability of loads.
• Follow rigging and lifting procedures during heavy transport operations.
• Inspect SPMT equipment before and after use.
• Check: hydraulic systems, steering functions, tires and axle lines, power packs and control systems
• Follow strict safety procedures and transport plans.
• Communicate with signalmen and supervisors during movements.
• Ensure safe working distances and ground conditions.
• Work with: riggers, crane operators, transport supervisors, engineers
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Report mechanical or hydraulic issues immediately.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
