Australian Skilled Migration is seeking a skilled Aluminum Fabricator / Ship Builder with expertise in fabricating yachts. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the shipbuilding industry in Australia, with a focus on high-quality aluminum work for yacht construction.
ALUMINUM FABRICATOR / SHIP BUILDER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aluminum fabrication and shipbuilding, specifically in yacht fabrication.
- 1-year Transcript of Records (TOR) from a college or vocational course related to aluminum fabrication, shipbuilding, or a similar field.
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and shaping aluminum materials.
- Strong understanding of marine-grade materials and their properties.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Experience working with marine industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to work with various hand and power tools used in aluminum fabrication and shipbuilding.
- English language proficiency for communication within the team and understanding technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble aluminum parts for yacht construction, ensuring high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to produce accurate components for shipbuilding.
- Work with various types of aluminum and other materials required for yacht fabrication.
- Weld and join aluminum pieces using specialized techniques for marine environments.
- Shape and cut materials according to specifications for the yacht’s structural components, ensuring durability and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure the integrity and precision of fabricated parts.
- Follow safety standards and ensure that all work areas and materials comply with environmental regulations.
- Assist in the assembly and fitting of aluminum structures on the yacht during the build process.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the yacht is built to specification and delivered on time.
