RDC TOOL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role, particularly in tool preparation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for rotary die cutting (RDC) machines.
• Strong understanding of rotary die cutting technology and the tools associated with it (dies, cylinders, etc.).
• Experience in handling cutting tools, dies, and tooling components for die cutting processes.
• Proficiency in measuring and adjusting die-cutting tools to meet specifications.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of RDC tools.
• Familiarity with safety standards and guidelines related to tool handling and maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of CAD or CNC programming (depending on the companys requirements).
• Good English communication skills for reading instructions and communicating with the team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain, and repair RDC tools such as dies, cylinders, and cutting tools for the production process.
• Adjust, set, and configure tools to meet production specifications and ensure the quality of the finished product.
• Perform routine inspections of tools, ensuring that they are free from defects and wear, and replace or sharpen them as needed.
• Troubleshoot any issues with the die cutting tools and equipment, and ensure minimal downtime during production.
• Work closely with the RDC operators to ensure that the tools are correctly set up and functioning optimally for production runs.
• Test and inspect final products for cutting accuracy and quality.
• Maintain tool inventories, ensure proper storage, and keep detailed records of tool maintenance and replacements.
• Provide recommendations for tool improvements, upgrades, or replacements based on wear and production feedback.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure tools and equipment are maintained and stored properly to avoid accidents.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to enhance efficiency and production timelines.
