SENIOR HSE OFFICER (SAFETY ENGINEER)
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Risk Assessment will be an advantage.
- At least 3 years in a senior or supervisory HSE role, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Excellent risk assessment and hazard identification skills.
- Ability to conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in safety reporting and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, local safety regulations, and international standards.
- Monitor site activities to ensure safe working practices are followed.
- Ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments for ongoing and upcoming activities.
- Ensure Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Method Statements are reviewed and followed.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct HSE inductions for new employees and subcontractors.
- Organize safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness campaigns.
- Perform daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure that safety signage and emergency equipment are properly maintained and accessible.
- Monitor waste management, pollution control, and environmental compliance.
- Promote sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
- Maintain HSE documentation including inspection reports, risk assessments, and training records.
- Ensure all safety documentation is updated and readily available for audits.
- Maintain updated drawings, method statements, and other site-related documents.
- Support in preparation of as-built drawings and completion reports.
- Develop and implement emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure readiness for fire, medical, and evacuation scenarios.
- Liaise with local authorities and emergency services when required.
- Freedom to carry out professionally the responsibilities and tasks described above.
