Sulphur/Chemical Operator

Qualifications:

• Male Applicants are preferred
• Four (04) years of sulfur or bulk material handling experience, of which at least two (02) years were served as an Outside Operator, Ship Loader Operator, or a Reclaimer Operator.
• Four (04) years Diploma or BHs in engineering with two (02) years of solid handling system operating experience

Responsibilities:

• Must understand the sulfur forming process and/or bulk material handling and the culture that comes with it.
• Able to: work outdoors, work at height, climb vertical ladders and lift > 25kg.
• Have knowledge on SAP-PM module.
• Good knowledge of sulfur forming and conveyage, vessel loading, and marine activities related to port operations.
• Strong knowledge in permits to work.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• English level equal or higher than B2 according to CEFR.
• Material handling: Experience in aggregate quarries, mills, or mines with material moving equipment such as hoppers, conveyors, reclaimers, ship loaders, tripper cars, Sulphur samplers, heat interchangers, boilers, compressors, and hydraulic pumps.
• Understand all systems related to ship loaders, conveyors, automatic sampling machines, reclaimers, and all moving parts related to sulfur forming and handling systems. (rotating/static equipment)
• Perform vessel berthing operations, pre-loading key meetings, interact with vessel officers, and produce vessel loading documentation.
• Monitor Sulphur transfer operations are performed efficiently as per the customer’s requirements.
• Proper follow up issuance and closure of PTW and E-PTW files.
• Maintain a clean workspace by ensuring the removal of sulfur fines, trash, and debris from all areas of responsibility including structures, offices, restrooms, break rooms, vehicles, reclaimer, ship loader etc.
• Assist in clean up of sulfur spills created from operational errors.
• Perform vessel berthing operations, pre-loading key meetings, interact with vessel officers, and produce vessel loading documentation.
