WELDER

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Study blueprints/drawings, calculate dimensions, and prepare metal surfaces (cleaning, grinding)
  • Fuse metal components using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) and machinery
  • Smooth, polish, and remove excess weld spatter or slag for a quality finish
  • Check welds for flaws, ensuring they meet specifications and standards
  • Adhere to strict safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment and tools
  • Blueprint reading & technical drawing interpretation
  • Proficiency in different welding processes (MIG, TIG, Arc, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and precision, Problem-solving and self-direction
  • Can range from controlled factory settings to hazardous field conditions (high elevations, underwater)
  • Works alongside other professionals like engineers, fabricators, and general laborers
