SAFETY OFFICER

Qualifications:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer with a strong background in safety management within the oil and gas sector.
• The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH certification
• This role involves overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• A safety officer role within the oil & gas industry.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety (mandatory).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and conduct emergency drills covering fire safety, evacuation procedures, and first aid response.
• Work closely with engineering, operations, and project teams to embed safety into all aspects of project execution.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk analysis, hazard identification, and accident investigation techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage all levels of personnel.
• Proven ability to assess complex situations and make data-driven decisions to improve safety.
• First Aid, Fire Safety, or other relevant safety training certifications (preferred).
•  Capable of working in physically demanding and high risk environments.
• The role involves frequent site visits and fieldwork across project phases.
• Must be prepared to respond to safety concerns at any time during the project lifecycle.
• A proactive and collaborative mindset is essential to ensure safety is integrated into every aspect of operations
