We are seeking a dependable and skilled Concrete Worker to join our construction team. This role involves performing various concrete-related tasks including placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete across diverse job sites such as sidewalks, foundations, curbs, roads, and slabs. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in concrete work, can interpret construction plans, and is comfortable operating equipment in outdoor environments.
Concrete Worker / Concrete Laborer
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a concrete worker or in a similar construction role.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work extended shifts.
- Familiarity with OSHA, VCA, or equivalent construction safety practices.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required).
Responsibilities:
- Set up forms and molds for concrete placement.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand and power tools.
- Smooth and finish surfaces using screeds, trowels, and floats.
- Apply sealants, hardeners, or protective coatings as required.
- Install reinforcing materials such as rebar and wire mesh.
- Ensure proper leveling and shaping of surfaces.
- Assist with formwork carpentry and demolition as needed.
- Operate concrete machinery (e.g., mixers, vibrators, saws).
- Follow construction blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
- Support proper curing of concrete to prevent cracking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
