Risk Officer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management or related roles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools and software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Responsibilities:
- Identifying potential risks across various areas of the organization and assessing their likelihood and potential impact.
- Developing and implementing strategies to manage and mitigate identified risks, including developing risk mitigation plans and actions
- Ensuring that the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Continuously monitoring and tracking key risk indicators, preparing regular reports, and reporting to senior management or the Board.
- Understanding and ensuring alignment with the organization’s risk appetite and tolerance levels.
- Providing training and awareness to employees on risk management principles and procedures.
- Working with other departments and stakeholders to identify and manage risks.
- Risks related to investments, credit, and market fluctuations.
- Risks related to day-to-day operations, processes, and systems.
- Risks related to the organization’s overall strategy and goals.
- Risks related to compliance with laws and regulations.
- Risks related to the security of data and systems.
- Risks related to the organization’s image and standing.
