Team Leader (Painting Section)

Qualifications:

• Good knowledge and experience of Paint systems and applications on aluminum and steel bodies
• Good knowledge on paint mixing procedures, water and solvent paints applications and techniques
• Have worked for a premium vehicle dealership is an advantage
• Be able to multitasks, smart, clean, and presentable.
• Able to communicate in English clearly, both verbally and in written form

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Bodyshop Manager in the daily operations of the Bodyshop.
• All types of painting and refinishing of the vehicles.
• Being aware of the health and safety of others at all times.
• Offer support to the Service Advisors.
• To keep control on tools and equipment, reporting any defects or breakages and requesting when necessary additional tools and equipment.
• To liaise with Bodyshop purchaser for paints and consumables as required.
• To assess the repair required and book the appropriate materials.
• Prepare job cards, to include a written detailed description of all work carried out and tests completed.
• Have an understanding of all the different repair materials and techniques to include the repair and painting of Aluminum, steel, Plastics and Carbon Fiber.
• Must have the ability to apply putty to the damaged area in a way that minimal putty is used and the finish is that of a new panel.
• Be able to carry out spot repairs to Paint finishes, only applying paint and clear coat to the affected areas using blending techniques.
• Have experience in using the tools of his trade, spray guns, sanding machines, polishers Gun cleaners, and recycling equipment.

Official operation started on 1st October 2005 and 1st unit delivered on 5th November 2005.
