Mechanical Assembly Technician (Undercarriage)

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a passport.
• Candidate must know how to communicate in English.
• Knowledge of undercarriage components, including wheels, axles, suspension systems, and tracks
• Proficient in using hand and power tools (e.g., wrenches, drills, lifting devices) for mounting and securing systems
• Ability to use mechanical tools (hydraulic equipment, wrenches, lifting gear) to mount and secure parts
• Familiar with technical drawings, manuals, and assembly specifications
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments on undercarriage components

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install undercarriage components on locomotives, including wheels, axles, suspension systems, and tracks
• Ensure that all undercarriage components are properly aligned and securely mounted for safe operation
• Inspect and test undercarriage systems for damage, wear, or defects before and after installation
• Use mechanical tools (wrenches, lifts, jacks, hydraulic equipment) to mount and secure parts
• Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications during the assembly process
• Perform adjustments to ensure proper functionality, alignment, and safety of undercarriage systems
