Electrical Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in the oil industry.
  • Certified Professional Engineer in Power or equivalent.
  • Recognized as a power specialist in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Experience in designing electrical systems for oil and gas projects.
  • Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, API, and NEC standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess power systems and substations, recommending upgrades for reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and assist maintenance staff with power system issues.
  • Review and comment on capital project designs throughout the project cycle.
  • Perform field engineering, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup support.
  • Provide technical support for power systems and maintain ETAP models.
  • Lead ETAP studies, PMS, UPS, DC systems, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
  • Develop conceptual designs and budgetary cost estimates.
  • Review installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Analyze and optimize UPS, DC, battery, and cathodic protection systems.
  • Evaluate safety and grounding systems to protect against surges and lightning.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
  • Employment certificates
  • NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
  • PEOS certificate
