Midwife

Qualifications:

• Degree or certification in Midwifery from an accredited institution.
• Valid PRC license as a Midwife.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting (preferred).
• Expertise in prenatal care, labor assistance, and postnatal education.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain medical procedures and provide emotional support.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, particularly for women and families during the reproductive process.
• Ability to assist with labor and delivery and manage the physical demands of the role.
• Commitment to ongoing education and staying updated on best practices in midwifery and maternal health.

Responsibilities:

• The Midwife will provide comprehensive care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. This role involves assisting in labor and delivery, monitoring maternal and fetal health, and providing education and support to families. The Midwife will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the health and well-being of both the mother and child, offering guidance, advice, and hands-on care throughout the reproductive process.
• Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women, ensuring their health and well-being.
• Assist in labor and delivery, monitoring vital signs, fetal heart rate, and contractions.
• Offer guidance on childbirth preparation, pain management options, and breastfeeding techniques.
• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and laboratory tests to monitor maternal and fetal health.
• Educate and support families on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care.
• Identify potential complications and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for appropriate interventions.
• Keep accurate patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress.
• Stay updated on the latest practices in midwifery and maternal health.
