Painter (Industrial)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in site painting.
• Experience applying two-pack pants via Brush, Roller or Spray applications
• Trade certificate in Painting & Decorating or Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application
  Defense, Industrial or Marine industry experience
• Able to undergo extensive pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
• Strong work ethic with proven work history.
• Positive and proactive approach to safety.
• Willingness to work overtime, Must have a valid Driver’s License
• HRL (Rigging / Dogman, EWP, Forklift).
• Tickets (Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights).’
• Must be at least a graduate of 1-year vocational course or Completed at least 1 year in college.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning surfaces prior to and after surface preparation to specification
• Conducting masking/encapsulation
• Mixing paint according to instructions.
• Applying coatings via spray (Airless & Conventional), Brush & Roller to specification.
• Performing basic quality control functions during application such as testing WFT.
• Conducting works in various locations such as confined space and working at heights
• Responsible for the maintenance of equipment in accordance with QC standards
• Ensure that tools and equipment are maintained in a clean, complete and safe condition.
• Continuously monitor quality of work, Follow all safety instructions and procedures.
• Measure and record batch numbers and equipment serial numbers.
