Qualifications
- Minimum two years current work experience in a mechanical trade or extensive experience in the assembly and servicing of Heat Exchange equipment.
- Preferably have a working knowledge of Heat Exchange equipment
- Site service and customer relations experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Service, repair, assemble, install, commission, inspect cooling towers either at HEWA’s service centre or on site
- To assist in planning & preparation of jobs, using drawings, plans and designs
- Check quality of work performed
- Requisition materials from inventory, replenish consumables in accordance with scope of work
- Provide training to temporary staff for service as applicable
- Discuss equipment & maintenance with clients, collect and analyze data as required
- Check and Record goods inward & dispatch with stock control
- Testing of equipment to meet specifications where required
- Clear and accurate communication with customers
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety requirements. This may include drug and alcohol tests on some sites
- Keep workshop and work sites in a safe, clean and tidy state at all times
- Keep up to date with new industry standards
- Carry out all instructions to the very best of your ability
- All paper work to be completed accurately and in a timely manner, before and after each job
- Time sheets to be completed daily & accurately and handed to Supervisor
- Be committed to the continuous improvement of all systems associated with the service function
- Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required
- Attend to site or overnight stays away for work will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role

Our Service Centre is staffed with experienced personnel that are on call 24 hours a day and is equipped with a full range of facilities to chemically clean, UV crack test and refurbish any plate heat exchanger. HEWA additionally provide a wide range of parts, upgrades and servicing for any cooling tower. Our new product range includes an extensive variety of heat transfer equipment including but not limited to; heat exchangers, cooling towers, condensers, evaporators, radiators, coolers and heat recovery economisers.
