Telecom & Data Supervisor

A Telecom & Data Supervisor is responsible for supervising and managing the operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of telecommunications and data networking systems, infrastructure, and services in various industries such as telecommunications, information technology, healthcare, finance, government, and more.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a technical diploma, certificate, or associate degree program in Telecommunications Technology, Network Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Networking, or a related field is typically required
• Obtaining relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, Project Management Certificate, or other industry-specific certifications can demonstrate proficiency, competence, and commitment to excellence in the field of telecommunications and data networking.

Technical Skills:

• Telecommunications and Data Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of telecommunications principles, data networking technologies, network architectures, protocols, services, systems, equipment, devices, infrastructure, and associated technologies such as IP (Internet Protocol), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), VPN (Virtual Private Network), VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), and more.
• Maintenance and Support: Proficiency in overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and support of telecommunications and data networking systems, infrastructure, equipment, and services using specialized tools, equipment, software, and diagnostic methodologies.
• Safety Protocols: Knowledge of safety practices, regulations, standards, and compliance requirements related to telecommunications, data networking, electrical operations, and equipment to ensure personal safety and the safe and reliable operation of systems and components.
• Tools and Equipment: Familiarity with a wide range of telecommunications tools, testing instruments, network analyzers, diagnostic devices, software applications, and equipment commonly used in maintenance, troubleshooting, support, and performance monitoring tasks within specific industries and applications.
