Preservation Technicians

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is typically required. Additional vocational training, certifications, or coursework in relevant fields such as mechanics, materials science, corrosion control, or preservation can be beneficial.
• Relevant experience in preservation, corrosion control, asset management, logistics, or related fields within industries such as oil and gas, energy, maritime, construction, or manufacturing. Experience in executing preservation activities, following preservation procedures, and working with preservation materials and equipment is essential.
• Practical skills and hands-on experience in executing preservation activities, applying coatings, using preservation materials, equipment handling, storage procedures, and following preservation guidelines and standards relevant to the specific industry or sector.

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge and expertise in preservation techniques, materials, coatings, inhibitors, equipment handling, storage procedures, and preservation standards relevant to the specific industry or sector.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in executing preservation activities, inspecting preserved items, identifying defects or areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with preservation requirements and standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, collaborate with colleagues, follow instructions, and contribute to achieving preservation objectives, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the integrity of preserved items.
• Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly, report findings, document activities, and interact professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to safety regulations and standards related to preservation activities and equipment handling.
