OWS Automotive is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to perform high-quality welding and metal fabrication work for automotive repair and body shop operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, repairing, and fabricating vehicle body components and metal structures while ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding, preferably in an automotive body shop.
• Vocational training or TESDA qualification in Welding, Fabrication, Automotive Technology, or a related trade.
• TESDA NC II Certification in Welding or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication, and automotive body repair.
• Proficient in operating welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Good understanding of workplace safety, welding procedures, and fire prevention practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding on automotive body panels, chassis components, frames, and other metal parts.
• Repair damaged vehicle body structures through cutting, welding, and metal fabrication techniques.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and repair specifications.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and fitting materials before welding.
• Operate welding machines, plasma cutters, grinders, drills, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect welded joints to ensure strength, alignment, and compliance with quality standards.
• Perform finishing work such as grinding, smoothing, and polishing welded surfaces.
• Replace or fabricate metal panels and structural components when required.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workstations in clean and safe working condition.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and fire prevention procedures while performing welding operations.
• Coordinate with denters, mechanics, fabricators, and workshop supervisors to complete vehicle repairs efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of repair work and materials used.
• Perform other welding and fabrication duties assigned by management.
