TRAILER TRUCK DRIVER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Trailer Truck Driver.
  • Maximum age of 40 years old.
  • Relevant training or certification in heavy vehicle operation or defensive driving is an advantage.
  • Must possess a valid passport with at least 3 to 5 years of remaining validity before expiration.
  • Valid heavy vehicle or trailer truck driver’s license is preferred, subject to employer requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, vehicle inspection procedures, and cargo securing techniques.
  • Ability to drive long distances while maintaining a high level of safety and professionalism.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling loading and unloading tasks when required.
  • Good communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate trailer trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods, materials, and equipment to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or shifting during transport.
  • Plan and follow assigned delivery routes while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Comply with traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and report mechanical defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle inspections.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
  • Keep the truck clean and perform basic preventive maintenance checks.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, supervisors, and warehouse personnel regarding schedules and delivery updates.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management.
