We are seeking an experienced Tower Crane Service Technician to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tower crane systems. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and reliable operation of cranes through preventive maintenance, technical inspections, and timely repairs while following strict safety standards.

Tower Crane Service Technician

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of tower cranes.
  • Strong knowledge of tower crane mechanics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Experience in crane inspection, repair, installation, and servicing is required.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with teams and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and efficient work practices.
  • Willing to work in Belgium and comply with company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tower cranes, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Inspect crane components, identify faults, and carry out necessary repairs and adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, control panels, motors, sensors, and crane operating systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues involving gear systems, brakes, motors, lifting mechanisms, and structural components.
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of crane equipment after maintenance or repairs.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Coordinate with site teams, supervisors, and engineers regarding crane maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support and communicate maintenance findings clearly.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety procedures and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
