Static Supervisor (Fabrication)
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 4β6 years of relevant experience in static equipment fabrication, mechanical maintenance, supervision, or a related industrial field.
- Must have experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Refineries, Chemical Plants, or similar industrial facilities.
- Must be capable of supervising routine maintenance and repair work in the related field.
- Must have proven experience supervising fabrication, fitting, welding, and mechanical maintenance teams.
- Must have practical knowledge of static equipment, piping, steel structures, pressure vessels, tanks, supports, and related mechanical systems.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Knowledge of welding, fit-up, alignment, cutting, grinding, and general fabrication processes is highly advantageous.
- Experience with industrial shutdowns, turnarounds, equipment modifications, and maintenance projects is an advantage.
- Must have strong leadership, planning, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be familiar with industrial safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, hot work requirements, and quality standards.
- Must be physically capable of working in demanding industrial and plant environments.
- Must be safety-conscious and capable of maintaining high standards of workmanship and team performance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily fabrication, maintenance, inspection, and repair activities involving static equipment and associated mechanical systems.
- Lead and coordinate fabrication personnel, fitters, welders, technicians, and other maintenance workers.
- Plan and assign work according to project schedules, technical requirements, and manpower availability.
- Supervise fabrication and repair of pressure vessels, tanks, piping, structural components, supports, platforms, and other static equipment as applicable.
- Review technical drawings, fabrication details, measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
- Monitor fit-up, alignment, welding, cutting, grinding, assembly, and other fabrication activities.
- Ensure fabricated and repaired components meet required quality, dimensional, and technical standards.
- Inspect completed fabrication and maintenance work and identify defects or deviations requiring correction.
- Coordinate routine maintenance and repair work related to static equipment and industrial mechanical systems.
- Work closely with engineers, inspectors, maintenance teams, operations personnel, and project supervisors.
- Monitor tools, equipment, materials, consumables, and spare parts required for fabrication and maintenance activities.
- Assist with shutdowns, turnarounds, equipment overhauls, modification projects, and major maintenance activities.
- Ensure workers follow permit-to-work procedures, hot work requirements, PPE requirements, and site safety standards.
- Maintain records of work progress, inspections, repairs, fabrication activities, materials, and manpower.
- Identify potential worksite hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
- Ensure assigned work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules.
