Static Technician
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 4β6 years of relevant experience as a Static Technician or in a related mechanical maintenance position.
- Must have experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Refineries, Chemical Plants, or similar industrial facilities.
- Must be capable of performing routine maintenance and repair work involving static mechanical equipment.
- Must have practical knowledge of maintaining and repairing pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping, valves, boilers, and other static equipment.
- Must understand basic mechanical maintenance, inspection, dismantling, assembly, and repair procedures.
- Experience with industrial shutdowns, turnarounds, equipment overhauls, and maintenance projects is highly advantageous.
- Must be familiar with industrial safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, PPE requirements, and safe maintenance practices.
- Must be physically capable of working in demanding industrial environments.
- Must be safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of static mechanical equipment.
- Maintain and service equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, boilers, piping systems, valves, and related static equipment.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to identify and address equipment deterioration, leaks, corrosion, and mechanical defects.
- Assist with equipment shutdown, inspection, overhaul, repair, and recommissioning activities.
- Inspect equipment components for wear, damage, corrosion, leakage, and other potential problems.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on valves, flanges, gaskets, piping connections, and other mechanical components.
- Assist in dismantling and reassembling static equipment and components as required.
- Conduct equipment checks and support testing activities following maintenance and repair work.
- Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and replaced components.
- Coordinate with mechanical technicians, engineers, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel to complete assigned work.
- Follow established maintenance procedures, permit-to-work requirements, safety standards, and industrial practices.
