SHIPYARD MANAGER

Qualifications

• Must be medically and physically fit.
• Can start immediately.
• Can travel in a short notice.
• Capable of driving with valid driver’s licensed
• Salary negotiable once successfully selected.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct shipyard division activities including workforce management
• Budget developments
• State regulatory, safety, quality and company compliance
• Commercial activities
• Direct and coordinate shipyard operations within company policies and procedures.
• Oversee all technical ship repairs including machine overhauls, steel work, paint application, electrical modifications, piping repairs and installations and propulsion
• Ensure shipyard is in its clean and safe working environment.
• Ensure operations met with Safety, Quality, Maritime and Government mandatory compliance
• Oversee all material acquisitions from technical drawings and work specifications.
• Prepare reports such as shipyard activities and budgeting
• Ensure accurate and complete records are maintained in all divisions.
• Determine shipyard repairs and continuous improvements.
• Coordinate with all functional divisions to ensure production schedules are met
• Responsible for production output quality control.
• Design, manage and execute policies to deliver business strategy
• Develop departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities.
• Provide leadership and management to managers, supervisors and staff.
• Consult with Technical, Marine Manager and Directors to ensure coordination of purchasing, production and shipping
