Qualifications

• Previous experience as an approved Post Holder with management experience or an executive leadership role in any of the following:
  • Flight Operations, Customer & Ground Services
  • Engineering and Maintenance or Business Administration in a Operational management, leadership or supervisory experience.
• Track record in leadership and management, with core capabilities in delivering successful projects across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Relevant experience in the aviation industry, in operations, maintenance, or safety and quality.
• Thorough understanding of this or a closely related sector, with a well-developed appreciation for the governance, regulatory frameworks, safety and technology agenda.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates development of Operations strategic plans and performance contracts.
• Maintain optimal resource planning, budgeting, allocation, utilization, and management.
• Coordinates the preparation of short-, medium- and long-term operational plans and develops proposals that ensure the operation remain financially viable.
• Coordinates and Direct activities to increase customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Oversee operations activities to ensure pilot and engineer roster integrity to achieve sustained improvement in operational and financial performance.
• Work with the CEO to liaise with relevant stakeholders and Government Departments at senior level on Regulatory and Civil Aviation matters to ensure compliance and regular communication. Stimulate strong inter-disciplinary and collaborative linkages
• Maintains total compliance to both the national (CASA) and International Aviation Regulations such as ICAO, to ensure that the organization meets the demands of longline vertical reference mining support, Search and Rescue and Tourism charter flights
