We are now hiring Sheet Metal Workers to join our client, a leading manufacturing company with a reputation for producing high-quality industrial roller doors or roll-up doors.

SHEET METAL WORKER (Stainless Steel)

As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will have the chance to showcase your expertise in sheet metal fabrication, work with cutting-edge equipment, and collaborate with talented team of professionals. Qualifications:

• Must have TIG welding experience on stainless steel from 0.9mm up to 5mm thickness
• Can operate press brake, guillotine and various machinery
• Polishing of stainless steel used in manufacturing a custom-made kitchen and bar needs
• Experience in kitchen equipment fabrication is an advantage
• Ability to TIG Weld & polish 18 gauge 1.2mm stainless steel to no. 4 finish
• Ability to read & work off drawings
• Perform folding, polishing and other fabrication tasks
• Ability to operate Brake Press, grinder and other tools, is an advantage
• Driver’s License, is an advantage

Job Responsibilities:

Common tasks that you may have to perform include:

• Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements
• Selecting metal stock, such as stainless steel, galvanised iron, mild steel, aluminium and copper, and checking sizes, gauges and other dimensions of metal stock against specifications
• Marking out metal stock with reference points and lines, using templates, gauges and other measuring instruments
• Cutting metal stock along guidelines using hand and power shears, guillotines and drills
• Shaping and forming cut metal stock into products using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses and hammers
• Fitting and assembling components into final products by welding, riveting, soldering, brazing and otherwise joining
• Finishing products by polishing, filing, sanding and cleaning assembled products
• Repair damaged sheetmetal products and components
• On-site assembly and installation, of sheetmetal products
