Just Automotive Recruitment is hiring Sheet Metal Workers for deployment to Australia. The role involves fabricating, forming, and finishing sheet metal components with precision, including machining, surface preparation, coating, and corrosion protection work in an industrial production environment.

Sheet Metal Worker

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or related industrial metalwork.
• Must be a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience in fabrication and forming of sheet metal components to tight tolerances (±0.04 in or as specified).
• Skilled in guillotining, folding, rolling, and operating general sheet metal machinery.
• Experience in abrasive blasting and industrial spray painting.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, coating application, and corrosion protection systems.
• Ability to achieve required surface profiles and paint specifications.
• Understanding of paint systems and film thickness requirements.
• Ability to maintain and repair machinery and production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control awareness.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial workshop environments.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and form sheet metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate sheet metal machinery including guillotines, rollers, and press brakes.
• Perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation prior to coating or painting.
• Apply industrial coatings and protective paint systems according to specifications.
• Ensure all fabricated components meet tight tolerance and quality standards.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
• Maintain and repair sheet metal machinery and related equipment.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and industrial standards at all times.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production teams.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with coating specifications, including film thickness requirements.
