Rotating Technician

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience as a Rotating Technician or in a similar mechanical maintenance position.
• Must have experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Refineries, Chemical Plants, or similar industrial facilities.
• Must be capable of performing routine maintenance and repair work involving rotating equipment.
• Must have practical experience with pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, gearboxes, and related rotating machinery.
• Must understand equipment dismantling, inspection, repair, assembly, and alignment procedures.
• Knowledge of bearings, mechanical seals, couplings, lubrication systems, shafts, and vibration-related problems is highly advantageous.
• Experience with industrial shutdowns, turnarounds, equipment overhauls, and troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Must be familiar with industrial safety procedures and safe mechanical maintenance practices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment and machinery.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, dismantle, and reassemble equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, gearboxes, and other rotating machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical problems involving bearings, shafts, mechanical seals, couplings, gears, impellers, and other rotating components.
• Perform equipment alignment and basic precision measurements using appropriate tools and instruments.
• Inspect rotating equipment for abnormal vibration, noise, overheating, leakage, wear, and other mechanical issues.
• Replace worn or damaged components and ensure equipment is correctly assembled and operational.
• Assist with equipment overhauls, shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning, and recommissioning.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair work in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct operational checks and testing after maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and serviceable condition.
• Record completed maintenance activities, equipment conditions, repairs, and replaced parts.
• Coordinate with engineers, mechanics, operations personnel, supervisors, and other maintenance teams.
• Follow permit-to-work procedures, industrial safety standards, PPE requirements, and company maintenance procedures.
