Refrigeration Technician

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or HVAC Technician with a focus on refrigeration systems.
• Certification in refrigeration handling and EPA Section 608 certification for handling refrigerants preferred.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems related to refrigeration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

• Install new refrigeration systems and equipment, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and piping systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting components for wear and tear.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning refrigeration systems to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and adjust temperature settings and controls to maintain specified temperatures for food storage and production areas.
• Calibrate temperature and humidity sensors and controllers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards related to refrigeration.
