HVAC Control Technician

Qualifications:

• Proficient in programming and configuring HVAC control systems from leading manufacturers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair control system issues
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with HVAC staff and facility personnel
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and equipment manuals

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and program HVAC control systems, including pneumatic, electric, and electronic controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on HVAC control equipment to identify and address issues before they become problems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning HVAC control systems and components to diagnose and repair faults.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all HVAC control system work, including service records, equipment details, and configuration settings.
• Liaise with HVAC technicians, facility managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate control system upgrades, expansions, and replacements.
• Monitor HVAC control system performance and adjust optimize energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
• Respond to emergency service calls related to HVAC control system failures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC control technologies, building automation protocols, and industry best practices.
