Job Talent is seeking a commercially driven and technically experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in machinery manufacturing, machine building, and large-scale precision engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their requirements, translate concepts into practical technical solutions, and coordinate with internal engineering, design, and production teams throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires extensive experience managing machinery projects from initial concept and design through workshop production and completion.

PROJECT ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience managing machinery projects from client concept through to workshop production.
• Extensive experience specifically in machine building or large-scale precision components and prototypes.
• Proven track record in designing and developing large-scale machinery from concept to completion.
• Strong background in machinery manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, and production processes.
• Commercially driven approach with the ability to understand client requirements and develop practical technical solutions.
• Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery design, mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and project execution.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, design, and production teams.
• Strong project management, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, production requirements, and project documentation.
• Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong willingness and ability to learn Dutch quickly.
• Must hold a valid 4-wheel driving license for regional and European travel.
• Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, project sites, workshops, and other business activities.
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to quality and project completion.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients to understand project requirements, technical needs, specifications, and expectations.
• Translate client concepts and requirements into practical and technically feasible engineering solutions.
• Manage machinery projects from the initial client concept through engineering, design, fabrication, workshop production, testing, and completion.
• Coordinate closely with internal mechanical engineers, designers, production personnel, machinists, fabricators, and other technical teams.
• Develop and review technical concepts, machinery designs, layouts, specifications, and project documentation.
• Oversee the engineering and development of large-scale machinery, precision components, and prototypes.
• Ensure machinery designs meet client requirements, technical specifications, quality standards, and production capabilities.
• Review engineering drawings, calculations, technical documentation, and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate design modifications and technical changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, production activities, milestones, and technical deliverables.
• Identify technical challenges, production constraints, and potential project risks and develop appropriate solutions.
• Act as a technical liaison between clients and internal design and production teams.
• Communicate project requirements clearly to workshop and production personnel.
• Monitor the manufacturing and assembly of machinery and large-scale components to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, and final technical verification of completed machinery.
• Assist in resolving technical issues that arise during design, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Coordinate project schedules and ensure engineering deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
• Support project cost awareness by considering materials, manufacturing methods, labor, equipment, and production requirements when developing solutions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, technical records, client requirements, and progress reports.
• Travel regionally and within Europe as required to meet clients, visit project sites, inspect machinery, or support project activities.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Perform other engineering, project management, and technical duties assigned by management.
