Piping QC Inspector

Qualifications:

• Currently certified by either (1) AWS as a CWI, or (2) TWI CL as a CSWIP 3.1 WI, or (3) an approved equivalent certification level and scheme.
• Six (6) or more years of direct work experience, in the specific engineering discipline(s), performing QC inspection and testing of industrial project materials, equipment, systems and facilities under construction and Pre-Commissioning.
• Three (3) or more years of direct work experience performing QC inspection and testing related to the scope of WORK (e.g., industrial oil and gas production or petrochemical projects).
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of the 2015 version of ISO 9001 QMS requirements, engineering discipline drawings, standards, material specifications, construction methods and QC inspection and test procedures
• With minimal supervision, performed a variety of document review, inspection and testing functions to verify CONTRACTOR compliance with Contract requirements.
• Training, direct work experience and demonstrated thorough working knowledge of coating materials, application methods, quality activities and recognized engineering codes and standards required for the WORK, such as ASTM, ISO, NACE SPs and SSPC SPs.
• Direct work experience and demonstrated thorough knowledge of engineering codes and standards with welding and testing requirements required for the WORK, such as ANSI/ASME B31.3, B31.4 & B31.8; ASME BPVC (Sections V and IX); API 620, API 650 and AWS D1.1.

Responsibilities:

• Inspection for piping works with RFI documents
• Coordinate for piping works with staff of welding, NDE, PWHT
• Reviewing the construction drawing and reports before inspection
• Reviewing approved MS , Procedure , ITP & all project of specifications & procedures
• Inspection for Piping activities at site
• Coordination with other teams such as civil, electrical, mechanical, etc. for shop & field inspection
• Coordination with Owner & Subcontractors
• Assistance of korean QA/QC manager/engineer/supervisor
• Supervising the assigned quality control, repair work and inspection activities
• Site surveillance work for piping quality
• Conduct witness inspection and test according to Inspection & Test Plan (ITP)
• Following-up technical requirement and local regulation
• Prepare and issue Internal NCR & clearing NCR & LBE with Subcontractor QC & Contractor piping team.
