Job Vacancy: Nursing Aide

A reputable employer in Qatar is seeking qualified and experienced Nursing Aides to assist nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing safe, compassionate, and effective patient care. The successful candidates will support patients with personal care, mobility, basic healthcare needs, comfort, hygiene, and daily activities while following established nursing instructions, infection-control procedures, and workplace safety standards.

Nursing Aide

Qualifications:

• Female applicants preferred.
• Age: 25–43 years old.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in nursing aide, healthcare, patient care, hospital, clinic, homecare, or similar work.
• Related nursing aide/caregiving certification is required.
• Relevant nursing or midwifery qualification.
• Must meet applicable Qatar registration and licensing requirements.
• Knowledge of basic patient care, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and activities of daily living.
• Ability to follow nursing instructions, care plans, healthcare procedures, and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and proper sanitation practices.
• Good observation and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, responsible, trustworthy, and respectful toward patients.
• Physically capable of assisting patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and daily activities.
• Ability to work effectively with nurses, physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and family members.

Responsibilities:

• Assist nurses and healthcare professionals in providing quality care to patients.
• Provide basic nursing support according to established care plans and instructions.
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral care, and other personal hygiene activities.
• Assist patients with mobility, walking, transfers, repositioning, and other physical activities.
• Monitor and report changes in a patient’s condition, behavior, comfort, or general well-being.
• Measure and record vital signs when assigned and within the scope of practice.
• Assist with feeding and hydration and help patients maintain appropriate nutrition.
• Provide comfort, companionship, and emotional support to patients.
• Assist nurses with patient preparation before examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Help prepare and maintain patient care areas, beds, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in patient rooms and healthcare areas.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and use of PPE.
• Assist with the safe movement and positioning of patients using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Collect, transport, and properly handle patient-care materials and supplies as instructed.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of care provided, observations, and assigned activities.
• Report patient concerns, injuries, accidents, safety hazards, or unusual conditions promptly to the nurse or supervisor.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respectful treatment at all times.
• Follow nursing instructions, healthcare facility policies, and applicable safety procedures.
• Assist during emergency situations as directed by nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain proper care and safe use of patient-care equipment.
• Coordinate effectively with nurses, doctors, caregivers, patients, and family members.
• Perform other nursing aide and patient-support duties assigned by management.
