MV (Medium Voltage) System Technician
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in medium voltage electrical systems maintenance and operations.
- Strong knowledge of transformers, circuit breakers, switchgears, protective relays, and MV distribution systems.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of medium voltage equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostic testing, fault analysis, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Arc Flash safety standards, and electrical safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and system diagrams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit and capable of working in industrial and high-voltage environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MV equipment including transformers, switchgears, circuit breakers, and protective relays.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and overhauls to ensure reliable system operation.
- Execute diagnostic tests to identify and resolve electrical faults efficiently and minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot medium voltage system failures and perform repair or replacement of defective components.
- Ensure compliance with Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Arc Flash standards, and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams regarding equipment issues and operational requirements.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
- Follow company operational policies, electrical standards, and safety regulations at all times.
