Military Clothing, Gear, and Equipment Specialist
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Textile/Fashion Design & Production, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in military equipment, tactical clothing, personal protective equipment (PPE), defense procurement, quality assurance, or technical product evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of military uniforms, tactical gear, ballistic protection equipment, footwear, and defense-related products.
- Experience reviewing technical specifications, product documentation, engineering drawings, and certification requirements.
- Knowledge of military standards, international quality standards, and product compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting technical inspections, quality evaluations, and supplier assessments.
- Ability to coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, testing laboratories, and end users.
- Experience working with military organizations, law enforcement agencies, defense contractors, or manufacturers of tactical equipment is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical documentation management.
- Willing to work in Kuwait under the employer’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate military clothing, tactical equipment, ballistic protection products, and personal protective equipment (PPE) against technical specifications and operational requirements.
- Develop, review, and update technical specifications for military uniforms, tactical gear, body armor, helmets, footwear, load-bearing equipment, and other personal equipment.
- Review technical data sheets, engineering drawings, product specifications, laboratory test reports, certifications, and manufacturer documentation.
- Conduct technical inspections, product verification, and quality evaluations before acceptance, shipment, and delivery.
- Verify compliance with applicable military standards, international standards, customer specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate laboratory testing, product certification, and quality assurance activities with accredited testing facilities.
- Support procurement and tender evaluation by performing technical assessments of supplier proposals and verifying product compliance.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, testing laboratories, and end users to resolve technical issues and product non-conformities.
- Prepare technical evaluation reports, inspection reports, compliance documentation, and procurement recommendations.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure products are delivered in accordance with approved specifications and project schedules.
- Maintain technical documentation, product records, certifications, and quality assurance files.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, quality management systems, and applicable defense regulations.
- Perform other technical evaluation, procurement, and quality assurance duties assigned by management.
