Mechanical Fitter – Manufacturing Plant

Qualifications:

• Experience with welding and fabrication will be beneficial.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing plant in a similar role.
• Have the drive, energy and personality to work as part of a team.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and on shift basis.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance on machines including fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts into machines and equipment.
• Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
• Examine studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings.
• Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment etc.
• Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of plant & equipment as per program and complete relevant records.
