CAS Recruitment Ltd – Greek Branch is seeking reliable and hardworking Kitchen Staff to join a professional food and beverage team in Greece. The successful candidates will assist with food preparation, basic cooking, kitchen organization, inventory handling, and general kitchen operations while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and high standards of teamwork and service.
KITCHEN STAFF
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of working experience in a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in Food & Beverage is a plus.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service role is preferred, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Ability to assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, cutting, portioning, and basic cooking as directed by the chef.
- Good knowledge of inventory management, including receiving, recording, organizing, and storing food supplies.
- Ability to check and maintain proper food stock levels and assist with stock rotation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, sanitation, safe food handling, and proper kitchen practices.
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workstation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team-oriented mindset and willingness to work cooperatively with chefs and other kitchen staff.
- Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, lifting, and performing kitchen duties for extended periods.
- Reliable, hardworking, adaptable, and willing to learn new kitchen procedures and techniques.
- Good English communication skills.
- Must have a newly renewed passport.
Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, cutting, portioning, and performing other tasks as directed by the chef.
- Assist with basic cooking and food preparation using appropriate techniques and following the chef’s instructions.
- Prepare vegetables, meat, seafood, sauces, garnishes, and other ingredients required for kitchen operations.
- Follow recipes, preparation instructions, portion specifications, and cooking procedures accurately.
- Assist chefs during food preparation and service to ensure orders are completed efficiently and on time.
- Maintain proper mise en place and ensure ingredients are ready and available before service.
- Check ingredients for freshness, quality, and suitability before use and report any concerns to the supervisor.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and verify food supplies against delivery records when required.
- Properly record, organize, label, and store food supplies and ingredients according to established procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or damaged supplies.
- Practice proper FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation to maintain ingredient freshness and minimize waste.
- Ensure food products and ingredients are stored at appropriate temperatures and in suitable storage areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, preparation areas, storage areas, and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize utensils, preparation surfaces, cooking equipment, floors, and other assigned kitchen areas.
- Follow proper food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
- Handle food, ingredients, utensils, and equipment properly to prevent contamination and maintain food quality.
- Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, storage, and handling of ingredients.
- Assist in maintaining adequate kitchen supplies and inform the supervisor when items need replenishment.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Coordinate effectively with chefs, cooks, kitchen helpers, servers, and other team members.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors regarding food preparation, supplies, kitchen requirements, and other operational concerns.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist in different kitchen duties as required.
- Follow company policies, kitchen procedures, health and safety requirements, and management instructions.
- Perform other kitchen, food preparation, cleaning, and support duties assigned by management.
Salary Package:
- Salary starts at Php 43,000.00 net monthly.
- 48 Work Hours per week.
- Accommodation will be provided.
- Nine (9) months contract per year, renewable up to 5 years.
