Strandclub Velden Winkler is hiring Kitchen Assistants for deployment to Austria. The role involves supporting kitchen operations through food preparation assistance, hygiene maintenance, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas and equipment.

Kitchen Assistant

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or College Degree in Food & Beverage Services, Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a kitchen assistant or in a similar food service role.
• Experience in food preparation support, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping ingredients.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Ability to clean and properly store cooking utensils, equipment, and kitchen tools.
• Familiarity with restaurant or hospitality kitchen operations.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions from chefs and kitchen supervisors.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all food preparation and kitchen areas according to hygiene standards.
• Wash, clean, and properly store kitchen appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
• Assist cooks and chefs in preparing ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, poultry, and meat.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations during and after service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Support kitchen staff in daily food preparation tasks.
• Dispose of waste properly and maintain hygienic kitchen practices.
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies as needed.
• Follow all instructions from kitchen supervisors and chefs.
• Help maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations during service hours.
