Instrument Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in servicing and repairing optical instruments, with a focus on refraction equipment and edging machines
• Strong technical knowledge of optical systems, including optics, lasers, and detectors
• Understanding of optometry and the use of optical instruments in optometric practices
• Familiarity with software systems commonly used in optometric practices, such as electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management software
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach to service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams
• Experience using service management systems, to manage service requests and track activities
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time to customer locations

Job Description:

• Made maintenance for optical machines in optical shops or hospitals.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to the operation and performance of optical instruments and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of optical instruments to ensure their optimum performance and reliability
• Provide technical training and support to customers to ensure their efficient and effective use of optical instruments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and R&D to ensure customer satisfaction and product improvement
• Maintain accurate records of service and repair activities, as well as customer interactions and feedback, using our service management system
• Stay current with the latest developments in optical instruments and related technologies, and share knowledge and insights with colleagues and customers
