We are now hiring Industrial Spray Painters to join our client that specializes in abrasive blasting and protective coatings in Australia.

Industrial Spraypainter

Qualifications:

• 5 years’ minimum experience as an Industrial Spray Painter
• Experience in operation and setting up airless spray equipment
• Experience mixing of 2-pack paint systems
• Experience in spray painting industrial structural steel
• Experience in preparation of paint services before application (excluding abrasive blasting), application of inorganic zinc coating, epoxy (2-pack) coating, polyurethane (2-pack)coating
• Understanding of hot metal spray application
• Understanding of application of paint to specified DFT (Dry Film Thickness) and WFT

Job Responsibilities:

• May mix coating solutions and regulate their temperature
• May operate paint dipping baths
• Cleaning nozzles, containers and hoses of equipment
• Starting and monitoring extractor and drying fans, and heaters
• Moving items to drying areas and stacking them for further painting and packaging
• Directing spray guns to apply even coatings
• Securing items to be sprayed within spray booths or placing them onto conveyors
• Connecting hoses to spray equipment and adjusting spray nozzles to required pressure
• Loading paint, oil, lacquer, varnish and rustproofing agents into spray equipment
• Grinding, sanding and cleaning surfaces of items to be painted
