HOTEL HOUSEKEEPER

Qualifications:

• Male candidates are preferred
• 24–30 years old.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotels or a similar field.
• Physically fit and capable of performing physically demanding housekeeping duties.
• Ability to stand, bend, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods as required.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment, tools, chemicals, and housekeeping supplies.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and orderliness.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and able to follow instructions.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Professional, respectful, and courteous when dealing with hotel guests and colleagues.
• Willing to follow hotel policies, safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and management instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and other assigned hotel areas.
• Make and change beds, replace linens, towels, and other room supplies according to hotel standards.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and other facilities.
• Replenish toiletries, drinking water, tissues, and other guest amenities as required.
• Inspect guest rooms after cleaning to ensure they meet established cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Report damaged furniture, fixtures, appliances, plumbing, or other maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Handle cleaning chemicals, detergents, disinfectants, and housekeeping equipment safely and correctly.
• Collect and properly dispose of waste from guest rooms and assigned hotel areas.
• Collect, sort, and transport used linens and towels to designated laundry areas.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, cleaning equipment, supplies, and storage areas in an organized condition.
• Follow assigned room-cleaning schedules and complete tasks within required timeframes.
• Assist with deep cleaning and periodic housekeeping activities as assigned.
• Respond appropriately to guest requests related to housekeeping services.
• Respect guest privacy and properly handle guest belongings and hotel property.
• Follow hotel procedures for lost and found items and report any found property to management.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other hotel departments regarding room status and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness in public and staff areas as assigned.
• Follow proper hygiene, sanitation, infection-control, and workplace safety procedures.
• Minimize wastage of cleaning products, water, linens, and other hotel resources.
• Maintain a professional appearance, conduct, and attitude when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Perform other housekeeping and hotel support duties as assigned by management.
