HORTICULTURIST (NURSERY)

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in horticulture and nursery operations.
• Must have experience in the administration and management of a commercial nursery.
• Preferably experienced in tropical or sub-tropical desert environments.
• Knowledgeable in a wide variety of gardening and landscaping works, including earth removal and site preparation.
• Strong understanding of plant care, irrigation, landscaping, and nursery maintenance.
• Ability to provide recommendations clearly and effectively regarding horticultural and landscaping requirements.
• Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise daily operations of commercial nursery and horticulture activities.
• Monitor plant growth, irrigation systems, fertilization, and pest control programs.
• Oversee landscaping projects, gardening works, and site preparation activities.
• Conduct earth removal, soil preparation, planting, and maintenance of landscape areas.
• Ensure healthy growth and maintenance of ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, and nursery stock.
• Provide technical recommendations and guidance regarding horticulture and landscaping practices.
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and project teams regarding nursery and landscaping requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of nursery facilities and landscaping areas.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and operational standards.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to nursery operations and landscaping activities.
