Heavy Equipment Driver / Operator
Qualifications:
- Must have experience operating seven (7)-ton forklifts.
- Additional experience operating other types of heavy equipment is preferred.
- Experience driving heavy trucks is an advantage.
- Must have basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Must understand safe equipment operation and workplace safety procedures.
- Must be responsible, attentive, and capable of following operational instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Operate seven (7)-ton forklifts safely and efficiently in designated work areas.
- Load, unload, lift, move, and position materials or equipment as assigned.
- Inspect forklifts and other assigned equipment before and after operation.
- Follow proper operating procedures and workplace safety regulations.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and identify potential mechanical problems.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major defects requiring technical repair.
- Maintain awareness of surrounding workers, vehicles, and workplace hazards.
- Operate other heavy equipment or drive heavy trucks when qualified and assigned.
