Committee Australia is seeking qualified and experienced Filipino Fabricators for an overseas work opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and tack welding structural carbon steel and plate work according to engineering drawings, workshop drawings, specifications, and required quality standards.

This Fabricator job in Australia is suitable for experienced metal fabricators with strong skills in structural steel fabrication, plate work, drawing interpretation, fitting, tack welding, and workshop operations.

FABRICATOR

Qualifications:

• Must be a Filipino applicant.
• Extensive experience in fabricating and tack welding structural carbon steel and plate work.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering and workshop drawings.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and fitting.
• Consistently high standard of workmanship with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety and quality.
• Must have completed 4 years of High School and at least 1 year of College, with the 1st and 2nd semesters completed, or 1 year of vocational training.
• Good English communication skills.
• Must be able to provide a Certificate of Employment (COE).
• Applicant must be currently employed or must have been employed in their previous job no more than 6 months ago and be able to provide a COE.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and tack weld structural carbon steel and plate work according to project specifications.
• Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, workshop drawings, dimensions, and fabrication specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit, align, and assemble steel materials and components.
• Perform accurate tack welding to hold fabricated components in position before final welding.
• Check dimensions, alignment, angles, and positioning of fabricated structures.
• Prepare steel plates, sections, and other materials for fabrication.
• Use appropriate fabrication tools, machinery, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
• Ensure fabricated components meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Identify and correct fabrication defects or dimensional discrepancies.
• Work closely with welders, supervisors, engineers, and other workshop personnel.
• Maintain fabrication tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complete fabrication tasks within required production schedules.
• Perform other related fabrication duties as assigned.
